The thrill of the most popular tournament of T20 cricket is going to start today. With the opening of the 13th season of the Indian Premier League, the fans will be waiting for 13 months. Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni will return to the ground at 7 pm today. After the ICC World Cup semi-finals played in 2019, Dhoni is waiting for the return which is going to be completed now.
Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was last seen playing in the ICC World Cup semi-finals played in England and Wales. The Indian team was defeated in this match against New Zealand and the former captain scored an innings of 50 runs. Since this match, his fans have been waiting for the return of their star wicketkeeper batsman. On 15 August 2020, Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket.
Dhoni will return after 13 months
Dhoni will hit the ground for the first time this evening, 13 months after the 2019 World Cup semi-finals. After 9 July 2019, Dhoni is scheduled to play a match on 19 September 2020. In the first match of the Indian Premier League against Mumbai Indians, Dhoni will be seen captaining his team.
